Hello my name is Waziri from the Tanga region of Tanzania! I was originally born in Tanga, however I later moved to Dar es Salaam, where my passion for art blossomed during my primary school days at Msasani.

After completing my studies, I pursued construction, but in 1990, my good friend Bakar Wasia encouraged me to continue painting. Under Bakar's guidance, I officially learned the beautiful art of Tingatinga.
